Arts + Nature Video Series

Program Details

One of the unique aspects of Ragdale’s campus is the proximity to 50 acres of prairie, which artists use for inspiration during their residencies. Students who visit during Ragdale’s Arts + Nature Week have the opportunity to experience nature in a similar way as they spend time working with teaching artists whose work focuses on the natural world, mindfulness, and making close observations of the world around them.

This year, Arts + Nature Week has evolved into a video series of workshops led by the same teaching artists. These instructional episodes will be made available online and geared specifically for young students and their families, with activities that encourages them to explore the outdoors. Topics will include walking, meditation, writing, photography, textile art, the book arts, dance, papermaking, gardening, and ecology.

Arts + Nature episodes will be released nearly every week beginning in July and throughout the fall season. Subscribe to Ragdale’s YouTube Channel to be updated on new episodes as they are made available.
