Alicia Tan is a Khmer American writer at work on her first short story collection, I Didn't Ask to Have A Body. She's currently an associate editor at BuzzFeed and previously held roles at The Today Show, HarperCollins, Abrams, and elsewhere. Her writing appears in Write or Die Magazine. She was a finalist for the AWP Intro Journals Project and the 128 LIT International Chapbook Prize. She received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and an MFA from Oklahoma State University. Born and raised in Texas, she has also called New York, Missouri, and Oklahoma—where she now lives—home.
