Kunaka (pronounced coo-na-ca) is a writer who lives in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Her non-fiction has focused on her experiences in spiritual communities, and her memoir-in-progress The Buddha Test chronicles her time living in a Zen Buddhist Temple while working full-time as a professor. She earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Illinois and currently teaches at a community college.
