Katie Moulton is a writer, editor, and music critic. She is the author of the audio memoir Dead Dad Club: On Grief & Tom Petty. Her essays appear in The Believer, New England Review, Oxford American, Sewanee Review, Ninth Letter, Salon, the Village Voice, and elsewhere. A MacDowell fellow and 2025 Rubys Artist Grant winner, her work has been supported by fellowships from Bread Loaf, Art Omi, American Antiquarian Society, VCCA-France, and many other organizations. She teaches creative writing at Johns Hopkins University and the Newport MFA. Originally from St. Louis, she makes her home in Baltimore.
