Amy Reid is a sound artist and musician based in Baltimore. As a solo performer and with her band Chiffon she has toured internationally since 2014 sharing the stage with acclaimed electronic musicians including SOPHIE, Dan Deacon, Future Islands, and most recently, Suzanne Ciani. Reid is the recipient of numerous residences including at SPACE Gallery (Portland, ME), The Merriweather District Air (Columbia, MD), MICA (Baltimore, MD), One Beat (Virtual) and has received fellowships from the Folger Shakespeare Library 2023 and the National Portrait Gallery (Washington, D.C). She has performed her video, sound art, and performances have been exhibited at the Walters Art Museum and the Carnegie Museum of Art. In addition to her music practice, she founded Baltimore’s GRL PWR in 2014 whose mission is to cultivate queer joy through community programming.
