Visiting Artist Program

Bring Ragdale into your classroom. A Ragdale Core Teaching Artist will lead a lesson, discussion, and creative hands-on project in creative writing (poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, screen/playwriting) or visual arts (many media).

Projects center on one of three themes central to the Ragdale experience and humanities curricula:
Sense of Place (site)
How does our environment affect our experiences?

Sense of Self (identity)
Who am I, and what makes up my identity?

Sense of Community (people)
What comprises a community? How does my community affect me, and how can I affect it?

Grades 6-12
Serves one classroom
One 90-minute classroom session

Version B
Grades 6-12
Serves one classroom
Two 45-minute classroom sessions on two days within the same week
