School Residency Program

For teachers interested in facilitating an even more in-depth creative experience, the School Residency Program combines the Visiting Artist Program and the Open Studio Program into a two-session program over the course of two weeks.

First, a Core Teaching Artist accompanies students on a fieldtrip to Ragdale for the insider's view of an artists' community. After a staff-led tour and overview of the residency program, students meet either a visual artist for a studio visit or a writer for a reading and discussion. The following week, the same Core Teaching Artist will visit the students in their school classroom for a lesson and creative project.
