Public Tours
Public Tours of Ragdale are available by reservation. Visit the historic Ragdale House and grounds as well as an Open Studio or Reading with a Ragdale artist-in-residence. Ragdale treasures include the famous Bird Girl sculpture by Sylvia Shaw Judson, vistas of over fifty acres of virgin prairie, and countless original furnishings in and around the Ragdale House. The house, built in 1897 by Howard Van Doren Shaw, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Tour season runs May through October - Group tours are scheduled at these times
$10/person (free to Lake Forest residents)
