Travis describes himself as an, “old, Black, Mississippian, Native American, Vietnam veteran” who has been performing for 50 years.

In his work, sonic events are always linked to visual elements which, together, prove a well-defined, all-embracing premise which combines stagecraft, poetry, sound, color-specific noise and non-traditional instruments such as computer software.
